Is it possible to train immunity? What is the role of natural killer cells in the human body? And how do antibodies work? You can find answers to these and other questions by playing the IMUNO board game. Immunity is a whole system of cells, tissues, and organs working together by trying to avert diseases caused by pathogens ‒ bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Did you know that our immune system remembers every microbe it has ever encountered and has had to fight with? During the game, the players learn about internal and external factors, including the choices we make that have an impact on human immunity and the most important discoveries in the history of immunity studies. It is an exciting way to get to know how the immune system works and learn about the role of our choices in building and strengthening it.
Each player of the game represents either the pathogens (PATO) or immunity (IMUNO); the goal of each player is to take over the largest territory possible with their squares. It is designed for players aged 7 and over, and is great for both family game nights and informative lessons at school. All you need is a printer, scissors, glue and adhesive tape. Print out the parts of the board and embark on an exploratory journey to the world of immunity and pathogens!
